THERE IS MUCH buzz about whether Obama is Antichrist. There are
many similarities between Obama and Antichrist that causes even those who
normally don't ask, to ask: "Is he?"
He has certainly captivated the world so that many look upon him as the
savior of the world, even viewing him as a godlike figure as Newsweek editor Evan Thomas describes: "In a way Obama is standing above the
country, above the world. He's sort of GOD. He's going to bring all
different sides together."
Is Obama the Antichrist? The answer is--no.
Though the many similarities raises the question, the one significant
determining factor causing us to proclaim boldly that he is not, is that he is
not of the lineage of David.
The First Clue - Jesus explained
to the Jews: "I come in my fathers name, and ye receive me not: if another
shall come in his own name, him ye will receive." (John 5:43)
When Antichrist comes he will proclaim himself to be God on earth, not sent
by God as Jesus proclaimed. In order for the Jews to accept him as
Messiah, he would need to fulfill Scripture which states that Messiah will be of
the lineage of David.
The Second Clue - Daniel 8:21-24
and 11 reveals that when Alexander the Great's kingdom was broken into four
kingdoms and given to his four generals, that the Antichrist will come out of
the Northern Kingdom of the divided Greek Empire. This kingdom was ruled
by General Seleucus who ruled over the areas of Syria, Mesopotamia, and Persia.
The Antichrist will rise out of one of these areas and most likely will come out
of Syria when linked to the following Scripture from Isaiah and Micah.
Isaiah 10:12-13 speaks of a "stout heart of the king of Assyria," referring
to the Antichrist.
Micah 5:5-6 identifies the Antichrist as "the Assyrian".
The Third Clue
- Daniel 9:26
informs us that "...after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but
not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the
city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the
end of the war desolations are determined."
"The people of the prince" refers to the Antichrist. Daniel was looking
into the future at the time when Titus and the Roman armies destroyed Jerusalem
and the Temple in 70 a.d. It also refers, in Daniel 9:27, to a later
future time when the Antichrist will make a seven-year treaty with Israel, then
stop the temple rituals and sacrifices and set-up his abomination that profanes
the temple. This indicates that the Antichrist will come out from among
the Roman people that destroyed the Temple. Syria was part of the
Roman Empire, making it even more probable that the Antichrist will be an
Assyrian rising up from the Revived Roman Empire.
From these clues we understand that the Antichrist will most
likely be an Assyrian Jew
rising to power from a country of the old Roman Empire. This does not mean
he needs to be physically living in Syria. Even as Jesus was born in
Bethlehem, came out of Egypt, and raised in Nazareth, so are there a number of
possibilities for this Assyrian Jew. However, if Obama's birth record is
correct, he was born in Hawaii, came out of Egypt, and lived in America making
him ineligible to be the Antichrist.
If He's Not The Antichrist what
is his significance. For America it appears that Obama is a type of
Antichrist; for the rest of the world, he will be used to move the United States
further into the global government agenda. As America's Antichrist, it
appears he will continue to...
1. Come against America's Christian heritage until
Christianity is the enemy of society.
2. Set in motion the policies necessary to collapse our
economy so that we will join in a global economy.
3. Seek government control over all aspect of life; once
government has control, the nation will consist of kings and serfs.
4. Surrender our sovereignty to the anti-Christian, communistic world
government system.
5. Withdraw America's longstanding support of Israel.
6. Strengthen the Islamic world to pave the way for them to invade
Israel along with Russia. Obama will be a key player in setting the stage
for the Ezekiel 38 battle.
Final Thoughts
Truly these are dark days we are living in. The darkness will become so great
that the Gospel will be banned and Christians killed; these days will soon be
here..it won't be long. It is crucial that we share the good news that Jesus
shared in Mark 1:15: "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is
at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel."
In our twenty-first century sin and darkness is great and embraces all aspects
of our culture. It is imperative that the light that remains shines wherever it
is. You are that light and as you shine doing your good works, remember that no
one will ever know the one you’re working for if you don’t tell them…how will
they hear if there is not someone to tell them? (Romans 10:14)
The Bible is clear that most people—inside and outside the denominations—do not
fear God. You do not have to be part of the most
people. You can put your trust in Him today and then go and tell everyone you
know about the God who created the world, died for their sins, rose from the
dead, and gave a marvelous hope to all who will receive it. Time is short. Most
people need to hear the message that Jesus taught. Do your part to help them to
hear. Go and help return America to God.
Until next time…
Be so much the more, as ye see the day approaching
